The Calgary Dragon Boat Race & Festival is geared towards creating an unforgettable experience. The dragon boat competition illustrates comradery, teamwork and inspiration.
Stemmed by a 2000-year-old Chinese legend, Dragon Boat Racing is still very active and remains a tradition to this day.
The Calgary Dragon Boat Festival is recognized by Dragon Boat Canada as a qualifying event for the purposes of the 2015 National Club Crew Qualifiers. If you intend to use the event as a qualifier for your team please indicate your intention on the registration forms.
Festival operating hours, open to public starting 7:00am and closing 6:00pm. FREE Admission, with kids zone, multi-cultural entertainment, live band, food trucks, beer gardens and dragon boat racing too. We highly advise that you take advantage of FREE Festival parking located at Mount Royal University as parking at North Glenmore Park is very limited and restricted in most areas. Calgary Transit is providing transportation (approximately every 15 mins) to/from the Festival for a nominal rider fee of $3.00 per person. Read more...

How to get to the Calgary Dragon Boat Festival and what is on site?
A total of 59 teams are registered, where 11 teams are from out of town (welcome) and 4 teams are qualifying for the nationals. Come out and cheer the teams as they race in the Glenmore Reservoir.
